Activities of the Ashram

OrphanageThe Anath Ashram or orphanage provides home, education, hope and love for orphans with Gurukul environment. The home is now being maintained and run properly. Present number of hostel inmates is 20 boys of age group 4-8 yrs. They all study in the school run by Ashram. Ashram provides all the inmates with food, clothing, other daily necessities of their life living. Necessary health care arrangements have been provided by BMSA.

Pranabananda VidyamandirThe school is meant for the underdeveloped children whose parent could not afford their children’s school education. The Ashram provides the facilities of education from class I to IV, who are poor and from disprivileged sections of the society. Apart from their education through teaching learning material they have been provided by books, exercise books, school bag without any money and without any fees.

Jogananda Tailoring SchoolTailoring school for the women and male group members who are being trained through this tailoring school and after completion of their six months course they are being provided by certificate. The school has scope for making ready made garments and the Ashram is making the market linkages along with providing Tailoring machine.

Health CentreThe organization has its health clinic and this clinic is opened once in 15 days to provide health check up services, referral services to women & children and the persons belonging to SC/OBC & other aged persons of surrounding areas. Through this clinic the organization has been trying to provide scope of increasing access of basic health services once in 15 days with a team of qualified Doctor and trained personnel of health services.

Training on Agarbati makingThe organization has undertaken Agarbati Making training including participatory training methods to strengthen the SHG members that they can manage their groups towards income generation.
The adolescent girls of the surroundings have also included themselves in our Training to enhance their skills and to find out possibilities of being self supported. |
Brahmananda Music SchoolThis centre provides a better environment for propagating classical music, dance, musical instrument etc for the aspirants of the locality and surroundings. The centre is devoted to provide scopes for the aspirants to undertake courses on music, dance, musical instrument etc and trying to develop the school students to unfold their talents through this centre, where their aspirations and talents would be recognized.

Sukanya Sahayata KendraThis centre is striving its efforts to inspire the girl students under distant areas of Sundarban that if they are meritorious, if their performances in school are good and if their behavioral expression is good and significant then they may have the scope to have monthly scholarship for their higher education and one time financial support for their books, exercise books and other such educational material.

Through this centre, the physically challenged people are being helped with crutch, wheelchair and other equipment including financial support to help for their disability. |

(Centre for Eradication of Untouchability):
To eradicate the untouchability and to fight out the social evils, superstitions, this centre has been concentrating on solidarity and human unity and to propagate the ideals of Swami Pranabanandaji as a social reformer and with the inspiration of Swami Vivekananda to feel good for others who are oppressed and to build up such a society where barrier of caste system will not prevail and universal brother and sisterhood will be established through different activities to achieve union of mankind and a nonviolent society. |
JAGRITI BALYA BIBAHA PRATIKAR KENDRA |
(Centre for Early Marriage Protection):
This centre has been concentrated to protect the early marriage for which many girls have been victimized and their lives have become worsen. The centre is propagating the real age of a girl is eighteen and accordingly the parent should aware about it. Medical science has advised that a girl should be married after getting eighteen years of age and after nineteen onwards she can have Janani Suraksha Scheme by the Government. Through writings and leaflets, songs, film shows, awareness camps are being organized to make the parents understand about the bad effect of early marriage. |
